Well after a long flight we are in Moscow! Our flight was pretty good actually, apart from one annoying child who's parents did not seem to care if he ran up and down the aisle screaming!
Our stop in Singapore was really good, we had a beer and did a few laps of the airport. I loved the toilets their, they have a little screen where u can rate your satisfaction, simply fab! Will post a photo!
We arrived on time into Moscow, got through customs with no hassle but then went to get money out and Pete's card got swallowed by the ATM. Had to call the bank to cancel the card! Painful! Managed to get some money out using my card later on the day, thankfully.
We got the train into town, pretty easy but were then confronted by the metro, very challenging but fun all the same. We worked it out and made our way to the hotel passing red square on the way and catching a glimpse of St Basils Cathedral.
Our hotel is really nice, comfy and brekky this morning was really good.
We have done heaps of walking and have found some decent places to eat, one called Mu Mu, gotta love a good bowl of borscht for under $3!
Tomorrow is Victory day and it has been quite crazy with police everywhere and red square is blocked off. We are hoping tomorrow once the parade is over we can get into red square.
Moscow so far is proving to be exciting, challenging but also eye opening. It is very different but I quite like it. I look forward to seeing more and hopefully setting foot in red square!!
